Affordable Family Photography | Scripps Pier | San Diego
This is my second year photographing this great family.
Last year they bid on (and won!) my photography package that I donated to our school fundraiser.
I met them and their 2 cute girls and we had a great pre-Christmas session.
Their Christmas card had about 15 pictures on it….it was awesome!
This year we met up at the beach for another go around.
Last year the girls did NOT want to hug each other, sit too close, stare lovingly into each others eyes, or kiss on the lips.
I did not ask for any lip kissing.
But the point is, there was some love lost between these two, and maybe it showed a little bit.
But this year?
It seems like they grew up a lot over the last year.
And they realized how special it is to have a sister.
And how much they do really love each other.
And then, they pulled and scratched and tore at each others faces. And the moment was lost.
But still….I saw a glimmer of the future, and it’s closer than they think.
There were a lot of great family photos.
With spectacular backdrops…..
And cute individual shots…..
But by far, our favorite shots turned out to be the ones we got at the end of the shoot.
We found out we live just 2 blocks from each other last year, and laughed at how we could have carpooled to the location.
This year, we DID carpool! They picked me up, and we all drove to the beach. (I sat in the back of their van and felt like the babysitter who couldn’t drive herself.)
My husband was going to pick me up 30 minutes later and we were going out to dinner.
BUT this is my husband we are talking about, so he probably didn’t even think about showering or leaving the house until 30 minutes after he was supposed to arrive to get me.
So….lots of time for these amazing shots!
Maybe more than anything….the end of this photo shoot made me reconsider where my girls take gymnastics! 😉
Thanks guys for another great photo session!!
